Last March 8, 2015 AFP public affairs head Lt.
Col. Harold Cabunoc announced that the Armed Forces of the Philippines will
extend at least three more days on their offensive operations against the
Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters.
The extension was due to clashes that continue
to rage since Saturday. At least four BIFF members were killed in encounters
since Saturday night. He added that one of the slain BIFF members wore a
Special Action Force uniform. The Marine troopers seized 1 60mm mortar and 1
M14 rifle and none of the troopers who clashed with the BIFF in Shariff Saydona
was hurt.
